Instructor Jen Backof

We will continue to build on our map from our first session as we expand our knowledge of countries and focus on art concepts as we complete projects representing those countries. We will revisit Africa and create an African mask as we learn about the history surrounding them. After that we will visit Egypt, where we will learn about the Pyramids and hieroglyphics and make a pyramid of our own and create a hieroglyphic name sign. The following week we will travel to Canada to make a Canadian Inukshuk replica, a picture of the Northern Lights, and we will finish with learning about the totem pole and where they were found in Canada and the United States.
*Please alert Jen to any food allergies prior to the start of this session.
